Before you switch from Claude apps (Claude.ai)
You may not have to. Anthropic signs a BAA for Claude apps (Claude.ai) on Enterprise (self-serve or sales-assisted). If you’re on another plan, upgrading may be simpler than moving your team. Even then, these stay outside the BAA: File creation and code execution; Claude Code (terminal via Enterprise sign-in, Desktop tab) and Cowork in Claude Desktop, local mode; Claude Code on web/cloud/mobile, Remote Control, Cowork in the cloud, Code Review, Security, computer use; Claude Code VS Code / JetBrains extensions, gateway or custom base URL setups, and Claude Code via Bedrock / Agent Platform / Foundry; MCP servers and connectors, Enterprise Search, Claude in Chrome, Skills; Beta features (Claude in Office, Claude Design, Claude Slides, Claude Docs).

Listed tools offer a BAA on at least one plan according to their own published terms. A BAA alone doesn’t make your use HIPAA compliant: you still need the right plan, configuration and policies. Not legal advice.
