Before you switch from OpenAI Codex
You may not have to. OpenAI signs a BAA for OpenAI Codex on ChatGPT for Healthcare / ChatGPT for Clinicians / Enterprise or Edu with Regulated Workspace; OpenAI API (API key sign-in) with Modified Retention. If you’re on another plan, upgrading may be simpler than moving your team. Even then, these stay outside the BAA: Codex Cloud (cloud-hosted tasks); Web search, connectors, MCP servers, plugins and third-party services within Codex.
